Ode to Chie Mihara
Oh, Chie. How I love thee so. Your shoes are so comfy and stylish. With that vintage look that I was forever searching for. A few of your lovelies are sitting pretty in my closet, but I think they're lonely and need some new friends. Alas, you have woefully crept out of my price range (not that you really were before, but hey, splurge).

I love Chie Mihara shoes. However, the price is so high! I also need them in a size 41 (Euro sizes seems to run smaller than their American counterpart size), so the selection can be limited, especially by the time a shoe gets to the sale bin.
I know! I hate that the prices are so high. I've actually bought them within their normal range prior to me having a mortgage, so it was workable in my budget as a splurge. It's almost impossible now with all the life expenses. I think I could justify it if the price fell below $300. They are worth it though as I wear the pairs I own quite a bit.
Hey, have you ever shopped online at Ped Shoes (http://www.pedshoes.com)? They have quite a Chie Mihara selection, and usually a few on sale. The sale styles tend to be either very tiny or very large, i.e. 41!! This just might be your lucky day! I know they have a very cute lace-up faux crocodile heeled oxford in 41 because I wanted it! Alas, I'm a standard 38.5. Wah, wah.
Yes, I know about Ped. They do have decent sales, and my size is sometimes still available at that point. For the time being though, I can't even afford sale Chie. *sigh*
